“ What a great little find We came for a visit to Nottingham as we had a meeting around the corner, and we managed to find this place with great reviews on Google, so we decided to give it a go We were not disappoint This place was decorated well, with plenty of space to inside. We had missed breakfast as it was lunchtime and there was lots of great options . We opted for the quiche of the day with salad which ended up being a butternut squash quiche, which was absolutely lovely and very fresh. The salad was incredible as there was lots of variety. We also had the beef sauerkraut sandwich, which was incredible as well. a yummy, south-western sauce and Lovely bread. We managed to find a little bit of space for a fruit scone, which came with clotted cream and jam. They serve lovely loose tea in a pot. A great little find that I would highly recommend . The staff are lovely, and the toilets are clean . ”
“ I had the pleasure of enjoying a late lunch at Crimson Tree with a friend, and it was truly a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming — you could really feel the warmth and care in their service. The food was absolutely delicious, with large portions and very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cozy and full of good energy, and the decor is just beautiful — rustic, tasteful, and full of character. You feel like you’re stepping into a place with heart and soul. What really stood out to me was the owner’s fairness and integrity — one of the dishes wasn’t served the way it should have been, and I wasn’t charged for it, which I truly appreciated. As a lovely gesture, we were also given a pastry to take away! Crimson Tree is a gem — a place with amazing food, a warm vibe, and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for something real and heartwarming. ”
“ Possibly the best breakfast ive had in Nottingham. Me and my mum both had the Crimson full English and the flavour combinations on the plate was incredible, I don't even know where to begin! Customer service was incredible and friendly. This was my first time visiting and I will be returning very regularly! ”
“ What a nice cafe, great staff, lots of stuff on the menu that looks great and what we had was delicious. The food, while in general was what you might expect, seemed to have a twist with Turkish ingredients that really pop. We'll definitely be back. The cakes were very tasty too. ”
“ Popped in early for a full Crimson breakfast and it was lovely. Only a handful of tables were occupied, tea for two came in a huge teapot, so plenty to drink. The food was very tasty. Back again and the breakfast was still fantastic. ”
“ Absolutely superb independent restaurant which is always busy. We managed to get a table quite quickly today and I had the grilled sandwich for the first time and have to say it was superb. It was so tasty and will definitely have it again. The service was superb and the place itself is fantastic! Absolutely recommend it to anybody who lives in/is in Sherwood. ”
“ The Crimson Tree is a beautiful cafe with a unique, vintage atmosphere that feels warm and inviting. The service was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. We had the Mediterranean breakfast, Brioche French toast, and a hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! I especially loved the flavors, though I do wish the potatoes and falafel in the Mediterranean dish were baked instead of boiled. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back! ”
“ Now in my top 3 favourite breakfasts. Really, really nice. Full English is huge and lush. Brioche French Toast amazing. Great leaf tea. Staff are wonderful. Lovely atmosphere. Dogs welcome too. We are now officially regulars! Highly recommended. ”
